When the Oxygen Destroyer is successfully deployed against Godzilla in Tokyo Bay back in 1954, an unexpected side effect of the area’s sudden oxygen depletion was the re-activation of micro cellular organisms that had been buried in the bay since Precambrian times. Decades later, dormant but alive, these cells are exposed to the atmosphere during the construction of an undersea tunnel. As a result, they quickly grow, combine and further mutate. In this way they gradually evolve, each evolutionary stage presenting larger and more destructive forms until, reforming into a single creature, it reaches a terrible perfection. In this perfect form its weapons include the Oxygen Destroyer Ray and the Variable Slicer. After defeating Babygodzilla at Haneda Airport, Destroyah faces off against Godzilla in its final battle.
