Gigan

Based on a species of space dinosaur, Gigan is a cyborg kaiju created by the aliens of the M Nebula. It arrives from outer space with King Ghidorah as part of the aliens’ strategy to attack the Earth. Gigan is controlled from the Godzilla Tower found in the amusement park built and operated by the M Nebula aliens. Gigan has a single visor-like eye, a horn on its head, a strange beak-like mouth and two razor sharp claws called “Hammer Hands.” Its most notable feature is a bone-like bladed buzz saw located in its abdomen. In GODZILLA FINAL WARS(2004), after being defeated by Godzilla and Anguirus, the Earth Defense Forces discover the mummified remains of a space cyborg called Gigan under the sea near Hokkaido. But after undergoing Xilien repairs Gigan reappears and ultimately faces its old foe Mothra. The cyborg is recovered by the X-Star invaders and redesigned with fearsome new weapons and abilities before being sent to attack Tokyo. More powerful than before, Gigan’s scythe-like arms have been redesigned into powerful chainsaws — both arms are replaced with “Bloody Chainsaws” and the rotary device in its chest becomes a “Bladed Slicer.”
